HeyShape vs. SKIMS: Battle of the Shapewear Brands

Oh, honey. Shapewear and I have been on a journey. First, I told myself the lie that I didn’t need it; next came experimentation with vintage shapewear that made me look like a mannequin. The longest leg of my trip was trying every shapewear out there, determined to find one that was comfortable AND smoothing. 

Everything in my adult life has led me up to the moment when HeyShape and SKIMS would appear on my horizon, and I immediately ordered the top two products from both. Guess what? They arrived on my doorstep on the same day, making for the ultimate showdown. For me, there are a few non-negotiables for shapewear: good stretch, support, and adjustable straps. Both SKIMS bodysuits have it, along with a snap closure underneath. But HeyShape takes it to the next level. 

Along with all of the above, HeyShape’s elasticity is top-tier, and their shape memory gives you freedom of movement and breathability. Their undergarments are durable and waterproof (you’d never know it from the soft material, but it’s helpful on the dance floor!).
