Temperature and humidity changes can affect how much oil your skin produces. If you used a very gentle, creamy cleanser during winter to combat dryness, you may find it feels too heavy now.

Prioritize Daily Sunscreen

Longer daylight hours mean more ultraviolet exposure. Dermatology organizations consistently recommend broad spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher for daily use. This applies even on cloudy days.

If sunscreen felt heavy in winter, explore lighter fluid or gel formulations. Apply it as the final step in your morning routine and reapply when spending extended time outdoors.

Adjust Exfoliation Carefully

With increased sun exposure, your skin may become more sensitive. If you use exfoliating acids or retinoids, monitor how your skin responds. Warmer weather can sometimes increase irritation, especially when combined with sun.

You may need to reduce frequency or ensure you are pairing active ingredients with proper sun protection. Introducing new actives should always be gradual.

Support Skin Beyond Products

Hydration and sleep continue to influence skin health. Warmer months may encourage more outdoor activity, which can improve overall well being. However, increased heat and sweat may also require more attentive cleansing after workouts.
